A Statement from the Wallop Home Office
There is no dispatch today.
Cecil Tate was taken to a hospital in Washington, D.C. yesterday afternoon, with what doctors are treating as a cardiac event. Marshall Freely, who is travelling with him, reached us late last night. Mr. Tate has been admitted and is undergoing a battery of tests. Mr. Tate's family has been notified, and Marshall is with him. That is the whole of what we know, and we will not have more until Marshall does.
Gary Keach asked us to add that Cecil is a key member of the Wallop bat debut promotional tour and the company's foremost subject-matter expert on the instrument, and that a thought or a prayer, if you are inclined to such things, would not go amiss. We do not ordinarily make such requests.
There is currently no timetable for when the dispatches will resume. We thank you for reading them.
