Terms of Service

Wallop is a fantasy baseball game operated by Applied Might LLC. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

What Wallop is

Wallop is a fantasy baseball platform where users draft MLB players and score points based on home runs. It is a game of skill and entertainment. Wallop is not gambling — no real-money prizes are awarded through the platform, and no wagers are placed or facilitated.

Wallop may display informational calculations such as point differentials between teams. These are provided for entertainment purposes only. Wallop does not hold funds in escrow, process payments between users, or facilitate financial transactions of any kind between league members. Any private arrangements between users are entirely their own responsibility.

Accounts

You need an account to use Wallop. You log in via magic links sent to your email — there are no passwords. You're responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account. One account per person.

Age requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Wallop. If you are under 18, you may participate in a league but may not create one or make payments. League commissioners (the person who creates and pays for a league) must be at least 18 years old.

If we learn that a user is under 13, we will delete their account and data promptly.

Leagues and payment

Commissioners create leagues and pay a per-league fee via Stripe to activate scoring for the season. Refunds are available within 7 days of payment — email hello@wallop.app. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable.

The commissioner is responsible for inviting members to their league. Disputes between league members are between the members — Wallop does not arbitrate in-league disagreements.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the service
  • Scrape data from Wallop or the MLB data we display
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Create multiple accounts within the same league

MLB data

Wallop uses data from MLB's publicly available Stats API to determine scoring. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Major League Baseball. MLB trademarks and team names belong to their respective owners.

Scoring depends on third-party data we do not control. While we make every effort to process home run data accurately, we cannot guarantee that MLB's data feed will always be timely, complete, or error-free. If a scoring discrepancy is identified, we will correct it when possible.

Service availability

We aim to keep Wallop running reliably throughout the MLB season, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Downtime may occur for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

If you believe a home run was missed or scored incorrectly, email hello@wallop.app and we'll investigate. We backfill scoring data after outages and correct errors when identified, but we cannot guarantee that all events will be captured in real time.

Intellectual property

The Wallop name, design, and code are owned by Applied Might LLC. You don't acquire any rights to our intellectual property by using the service. We don't claim ownership of your display name or team name.

Termination

You can stop using Wallop at any time. To delete your account, email privacy@wallop.app.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If a commissioner's account is terminated mid-season, we'll make reasonable efforts to allow the league to continue under a different commissioner.

Limitation of liability

Wallop is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Applied Might LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the effective date above and notify active users by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Cochise County, Arizona.
